USA - 2013

Another Catch-up

So, after Krakow, Poland and Doha, Qatar, my next overseas destinations in 2013 were:
May - Amsterdam, The Netherlands
June - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
September - Jakarta, Indonesia
September - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

These were for business only, but I also spent a few days - a very few days - in France in August. A quick trip to Barneville Carteret, and the Hôtel Restaurant Des Isles

Doha - April 2013

This is the absolutely amazing Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, Qatar. It was designed by I. M. Pei, and it first opened its doors to the public in November 2008. Absolutely astonishing collection of artefacts - books, sculpture, rugs, calligraphy, paintings. Made me realise how utterly ignorant I am of Islamic history.

Krakow - April 2013

This is the Gothic Tower in the main square - Rynek Glowny - of Krakow. Apparently, it leans by about 55cms, or just under two feet.
